Meet Your Coordinator
Leigh Fulcher
Hi, I’m Leigh, the coordinator here at Magnolia Manor 1843. I’m passionate about creating unforgettable experiences and helping couples feel completely at ease from the moment they arrive. Whether you're hosting an elegant weekend celebration or an intimate elopement, I’m here to ensure your time at Magnolia Manor is seamless, welcoming, and truly exceptional.
While your planner focuses on the big picture, I work alongside them to provide a smooth and supportive experience from a venue perspective—coordinating logistics, assisting your vendors, and making sure the property is the perfect backdrop for your celebration. My goal is to take the guesswork out of the venue side of things so you can focus on the moments that matter most.
I look forward to welcoming you and helping bring your vision to life here at Magnolia Manor.

Meet Our Founder
David Durham
Honoring the Visionary Behind the Restoration – David Durham
The restoration of Magnolia Manor 1843 has been nothing short of a monumental labor of love, and at the heart of it all is David Durham. With tireless dedication and an unwavering vision, David undertook the massive task of bringing this historic home back to life—honoring its past while thoughtfully shaping its future.
As the owner of East Coast Electric, David balanced the demands of running his successful electrical contracting business while investing countless hours into every corner of the manor’s transformation. From navigating structural challenges to perfecting the smallest details, he worked through every hurdle with hands-on determination and a deep reverence for the home’s legacy. No corner was cut, no detail overlooked—David spared no expense in restoring Magnolia Manor to her former glory.
A true entrepreneur at heart, David embodies the belief that if you can dream it, you can create it. He is the perfect blend of dreamer, visionary, and do-er—someone who doesn’t just see what is, but what could be. His passion, grit, and belief in this home have given it not just new life, but a new purpose. Much like the early business owners who once lived within these walls, David’s drive and dedication have left a lasting mark.
Thanks to his vision and love for the craft, this house is once again a home—one that beautifully honors its past while welcoming a bright new chapter for all who enter.
A peek into our story

At Magnolia Manor 1843, we are passionate about preserving the beauty of historic homes and sharing our love for old-world charm with others. As a couple of dreamers and lovers of old homes, we were thrilled to come across this beautiful home and knew we had to take it on as our own. Our goal is to create a special space where you can celebrate all of life’s most important moments in a setting that feels warm, inviting, and full of character.
David and Leigh spent some time living in downtown New Bern and fell in love with its charm as well as the beautiful architecture. The Wade-Meadows home was a particular favorite! So when it went for sale, it just felt right! While walking the property, it called out to them that it is a perfect place to celebrate life. They felt it's too special of a home not to share with others! And so that was the birth of the Magnolia Manor 1843!
