​Perched on the second floor of Magnolia Manor, Boyd Hall is a luminous, L-shaped gathering space where timeless elegance meets effortless versatility, it’s the perfect setting for life's most cherished celebrations—be it a bridal brunch, baby shower, rehearsal dinner, or an intimate cocktail soirée.

 

The room's architectural beauty is immediately evident in its intricate wood-inlay ceiling, a handcrafted detail that adds warmth and sophistication to the space. Floor-to-ceiling windows bathe the room in natural light and offer enchanting views of the rear garden, creating a cozy ambiance that invites guests to linger and connect.

Named for the Boyd Family that resided here from the 1950s through the 1970s, Magnolia Manor was home to the Boyd family. Cedric Boyd, a respected member of the community, played a key role in shaping the waterfront park we now know and love. In recognition of his contributions, a portion of Union Point Park proudly bears his name—a lasting tribute to his legacy and vision for public spaces in New Bern.

Towering trees provide generous shade, with the showstopping 200-year-old magnolia tree standing proudly as the centerpiece—a favorite for photos and peaceful moments alike.

 

Designed with versatility in mind, the garden seamlessly accommodates a variety of events, from intimate elopements to grand outdoor receptions. A covered bar area provides the perfect spot for drink or food service, and three well-appointed, easily accessible restrooms ensure comfort for all guests.

 

A dedicated patio area is perfectly sized to fit a 40x60 tent, offering both practicality and elegance for larger gatherings. Every detail, from elegant garden touches to the rich array of seasonal plants and flowers, transports guests to a true Southern garden experience—a space that delights all the senses and sets the stage for unforgettable celebrations.
